A carved wooden swirl sculpture by American artist Thomas E. Woodward (1932 - 2011) from the 1990s. Woodward was a Yale graduate and an architect by training, who in the 1990s began to sculpt using a variety of materials including marble, bronze and various woods. This mobius form sculpture appears to be American black walnut and the base is made of black marble. The sculpture has a carved signature on bottom edge but is undated.
