Pair of 1940s Ebonized and Cerused Oak Three-Drawer Chests
A pair of ebonized and cerused oak three drawer chests, circa 1940s. The maker of the chests is unknown but the fabrication is certainly American. The styling is architectural and streamline, without any drawer handles to interrupt the simplicity. The chests do not appear to be made on a production line or in a factory and the construction suggests that they were hand made. The pair of chests are the correct scale to be flanking a king-sized bed or on either side of a fireplace as a interesting twist to a traditional interior.
Dimensions: H. 30” W. 48” D. 20”
