A pair of playful "Bocci" side tables, designed by Stanley Jay Friedman for Brueton in the 1980's. "Bocci" is an Italian bowling game in which metal spheres are bowled in a packed sand track towards a stationary ball called a "jack". The closest ball to the jack wins. Each of these tables are leather-covered, inverted "cones" that rest on a group of three solid steel spheres that are whimsical nod to the Post Modern Memphis movement of the 1980's. This pair has been newly re-upholstered in a luxurious tan "shagreen" patterned leather and the steel spheres have been newly nickel plated. One-half inch thick protective glass tops that are not shown in the photos, are also included with tables.
