A group of three monumental Lucite sculptures in geometric forms by American artist Eugene de Christopher (1918-1995). The sculptures are artist proofs, signed and dated 1971. Mr. de Christopher was a designer, inventor and artist who was an ardent Bauhaus modernist. Mr. de Christopher also designed toys for Princeton Playthings and taught industrial design at Brooklyn N.Y.'s famous Pratt Institute. Dimensions indicated in this listing are for the largest piece which is the are the triangle. Each sculpture weighs approximately 100 - 120 lbs.
Condition
Excellent. Excellent vintage condition. We recently had these pieces. disassembled, cleaned, polished and restored. These 40 year old sculptures sing with energy and refracted light.
