A pair of rare lacquered parchment armchairs, designed by John Dickinson and manufactured by San Francisco based Randolph and Hein in the 1970s. The "30's" chair was designed to be part of an exhibit showcasing Dickinson's work that was curated at the San Francisco Macy*s store in the late 1970s. Randolph and Hein still produces a contemporary wooden version, which is called the celebration chair. These original chairs were bench made and this particular pair of chairs was recently acquired from an employee of the company who owned them since 1985.
