A truly spectacular, hand thrown, double walled vessel by American ceramic artist Jeremy Briddell, 2015. This piece has a gunmetal bronze glazed exterior with a luster glaze interior. The exterior surface and interior disc surface have varying degrees of Jeremy's signature "crater" glaze which imparts a lunar like texture onto his pieces. The outer bowl is quite large being 16" in diameter. The central disc is the amazing rim to an inner vessel that almost fills the entire space within the larger bowl. The application of lighter colored glaze on the central portion of this rim highlights the dramatic "singularity" void at the center and the dark glaze applied to the inner vessel. Produced in 2015, this is a true "tour de force" of ceramic art.
