H.W. Klein Sofa
A rare three-seat sculptural sofa designed by Henry Walter Klein for the furniture manufacturer Bramin of Denmark in the 1950s. The upholstered upper section is cradled in a solid teakwood base that architecturally buttresses the back of the sofa. The body of the sofa pays homage to Arne Jacobsen's egg chair, specifically when viewed from behind. The tall back on this piece ends in exaggerated "ears" that curve inward. The piece has been recently reupholstered in a blue velvet fabric.
