A rare solid lucite spherical table sculpture by Charles Hollis Jones from the 1970s. A cast Lucite sphere sits atop of a block of solid cast Lucite with an invisible joint, creating the illusion that the sphere is ready to tumble off. Charles Hollis Jones did not create many individual sculptures and as such, are not easily found in the marketplace. This piece was acquired from an architecturally significant home in the Southridge area of Palm Springs, commonly referred to as "The Boat House".
