Guillerme et Chambron Sideboard
Guillerme et Chambron Sideboard
A unique solid oak sideboard, designed in the 1960s by French design duo Guillerme et Chambron. A pair of horizontally-graphic carved sliding doors open to reveal two stationary shelves on each side. A surprising small cabinet is found on the far left side. The top surface has six inset multi-colored Mettlach glazed tiles. (The tiles are original but are not grouted into the inset area). As with most Guillerme et Chambron pieces, this cabinet is a sophisticated and whimsical blend of Mid-Century Modern aesthetic combined with provincial styling and materials.
Condition
Excellent. Note: one of the tiles has been broken and reglued and one tile has a small chip to the edge.
Measurements
81" w x 18.5" d x 34" h
