An introspective abstract oil on canvas by California Abstract Expressionist Wesley E. Johnson from the 1980s. This small composition packs a large punch with the depth created with the artist's color palette. We have handled much larger paintings from this period, in which the artist has used the same colors. Compositions of this small scale are not readily available. The painting is signed in the lower right and has been newly reframed.
