Initially designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1958 and put into production with Flos Lighting in 1962, this incredibly Classic fixture became an instant icon. A shallow aluminum dome enameled with white heat-proof paint is placed on top of a deep glass bowl becoming the reflecting screen of the lamp. The bulb is hidden inside the metal base, which is corrugated to better disperse the bulb's heat. The corrugation appears like a fluted column, a Fine example of form following function with an added twist. The glass bowl is unattached to the base and rotates in multiple directions adjusting the light's direction. This vintage model dates to 1990.

Condition: EXCELLENT, wear consistent with age and use

Dimensions: 19.5" diam x 24.5" h
